Old African statue / wooden Figure of the Baule ethnic group from Côte d'Ivoire - "Waka-Sona" Figure (wooden being in Baule) representing a "blolo bla" (wife from beyond).
The Blolo Bian (Spirit Husband) and Blolo Bla (Spirit Wife) Figures, "man from beyond and woman from beyond". These Figures are representations of an Ancestor or a Spouse from Beyond, materialized by a figure corresponding to the fantasy or dream of the Earthly Husband or Wife.
