- Idiok masks are designed to inspire both fear and respect. During mask performances of the Ekpo society, Reincarnated Immoral Ancestors are represented by Idiok Masks, depicted with dark surfaces and various disfigurations. They are sometimes referred to as "Hell Dwelling Spirits".
