The Story

  • Jewish Amulet with Hebrew Kabbalah Inscriptions “E’heye Asher E’heye,”
  • This special amulet's Hebrew's inscriptions are Kabbalah' acronyms also known as The 42-Letter Name.
  • This name is related to Moshe (Moses) and the Burning Bush. When God first appeared to Moshe, he asked by what name he should use to call The Infinite. God responded, “E’heye Asher E’heye,” which has been translated to “I will be as I will be.”
  • An engraved fish symbol is featured on the Amulet which represents prosperity and good Fortune.
  • Size Approx. 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
  • Material: 600 Silver which means 60% silver content.
  • One of the longest surviving Jewish communities still lives in Iraq and other countries that would have been considered part of the Persian Empire.
  • The Empire included what is now the modern-day area of the Middle East (including Turkey, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE), the Black Sea regions (of what is now Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan) as well as parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan and China
  • In 722 B.C.E., the Northern Tribes of Israel were defeated by Assyria and some Jews were taken to what was then known as Persia. A larger community was established in 586 B.C.E., when the Babylonians conquered the Southern Tribes of Israel and enslaved the Jews. These Jews distinguished themselves from Sephardim, referring to themselves as Baylim (Babylonians). In later centuries, the region became more hospitable to Jews and it became the home to some of the world's most prominent scholars who produced the Babylonian Talmud between 500 and 700 C.E.
